ALAN HENDERSON (Chairman 2009-10) – 01633 413020 - Born in 1949 in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, Alan is married to a School Teacher (Janice) and one son Ross. Alan & his family relocated to Llanmartin in 1991 to work for the economic regeneration arm of Corus until his early retirement in 2005. He now keeps himself fully occupied in the garden/ home as well as driving his Caterham 7 at local race meetings.

SALLIE MOGFORD - 01633 413531 - I work at the Office for National Statistics and I have lived in Langstone for 6 years. I am married to Ray who is a Marketing Manager and we have a 7-year old son called Jonathan who attends Langstone Primary School. I have a great affection for Langstone and the surrounding areas and I am committed to helping to build a strong, proud community at Langstone, and to help lift the profile and general appearance of the village.

CAROL BRYANT - Carol was co-opted as a Community Councillor in January 2008. She lives in Llandevaud with her husband, John having moved there in 2007.

YNYS ANN EDWARDS - Elected in 2008. Married to Kenneth with two grown up daughters she is a retired systems analyst and has lived in Langstone since 2001. Her hobbies include walking, running, gardening and the U3A. Ynys joined the Council to be involved more in the Community and to be part of local decision making.

TONY HAYCOCK - 01633 413171 - Tony Haycock has been a Community Councillor for about 12 years. A civil engineer who moved to the village in 1974, he is married to Lis and they have two daughters and four grandchildren.

JOHN KENNETT - 01633 400464 - John is a past chairman and the longest serving member of the Community Council. A retired draughtsman, he has lived in Langstone for 45 years. He is deeply interested in natural history, being a member of the Gwent Ornithological Society and the Gwent Badger Group.

Chris has lived in Langstone for thirteen years. She worked in local government for thirty five years and before she took early retirement she was a Principal Officer managing a community safety unit.
Chris is interested in ensuring Langstone is a safe community, preventing crime and disorder and reducing the fear of crime. She is also keen to protect the environment to preserve the beauty and character of Langstone.

DAVID ATWELL - 01633 413015 - One of the two City Councillors for the Langstone & Penhow ward, David is Chair of Cabinet for Highways & Transport. He is a regular attendee at Community Council meetings and his advice is highly valued. He is closely involved in the campaign to save the Underwood Leisure Centre.
SIMON LANE - 01633 413180 - Simon was elected as an Independant to the City Council in 2008 and joined the Community Council in 2009. Simon is always willing to provide background information and to make representations on our behalf.
