Community Councillors 2008
The new community council is now in place after problems with the May election.

Due to an administrative oversight there was only one nomination for the May 1st election. As a result the Community Council could not continue to operate. To overcome this problem the Returning Officer appointed the existing councillors on a temporary basis until a new election could be held (on 7 August 2008).

In fact a new election was not needed as the number of nominations matched the number of vacancies.

The new Community Council comprises

Tony Haycock, Magor Road
John Kennett, Caer Licyn Lane
Ken Lowndes, Park End
Chris Manship, Priory Gardens
Lisa Mcmail, Priory Grove
Sallie Mogford, Spartan Close
Christine Pike, Tregarn Court
Mary Sanders, Priory Gardens
Bill Woods, Pencoed Lane

The new Chairman and Vice-Chairman will be elected at the AGM on Monday 11 August.
